Killing it at the Jersey shore

Lots of fun. I saw this helmet sitting on a Harley in Pier Village. I hope these stickers are meant as tongue in cheek, but not so sure based on some of the characters I spotted. Which one is your favorite? I like the zipper lips one but that’s just me.

The kids are really the happiest at the beach.

Another wonderful day. Loving Long Branch. Jersey 4eva.

Someone stop me

I made a little tote for the beach bag for sun block and other miscellaneous items. It is made out if an old dish towel and some ribbon. And it’s washable because it’s a dish towel.

I’m just stunnin with my love glue gunnin (and my sewing machine too!)

I made this valance out of a zebra print sheet set I purchased for Syd. I will hopefully get the valance for her second window done this Sunday. Most of this is sewed, but the bows are glue gunned because I was afraid I would break the needle on my machine sewing through so many layers of fabric. Also because I am lazy and I hate the ends of projects.

We just bought her a new sheet set from Pottery Barn Teen that is black and white and ruffled all over. This will be totes adorable with her new valance.

Sydney throwing down the sass

I look at Syd and think “where did this sassy creature come from?”. Her confidence amazes me. Here she is killing it with the Gabster.

Can you tell they are best friends?

Beanie killing it in swim class

I think he’s smiling because this pretty girl is holding him.

Tiny little house for you and me

Tiny little house for you and me

I mean if you are into this sort of thing.  Girlfriend has lots of detail on her tiny house blog, and man if I didn’t hate nature, bugs, and the outdoors so much this would be amaazing.

Today in pug news

Today in pug news

This had me smiling like a mental patient.  Pugs forever!

Mirror mirror on the wall

I have the best mirror in my foyer.  Everyone needs a skinny mirror.  I am not sure if it is the angle or the height but I never look anything less then fierce in it.  It is the first thing I see when I walk in, so even if I had a crappy day, I can at least say “but I look good!”.  On the other hand, there is a reflection that kills me every time I see it.  When walking into my office I have to go down a long hallway with windows at the end.  The windows reflect, and it isn’t cute.  How can I go from svelte supermodel in Montclair to a short squat dumpling at the office?  I must talk to the building manager about this.

This piece really spoke to me.  I hope you enjoy it too.

My Mother, My Daughter

My Mother, My Daughter

This is a beautifully honest account of a young woman’s experience taking care of a sick parent.  If this doesn’t make you tear up you are an asshole.
