I’ve been really into decoupaging lately. It is the perfect way to repurpose the catalogs we all seem to be inundated with at this time of year. I’ve made some cute desk accessories, and today I whipped up a tissue box caddy for Syd’s room.
I turned this pile of clippings
Into this pile of girliness for Syd’s tissues.
This was fun, soothing to do, and it was all made with junk I found around the house!
Jaime yelled at Sydney for screaming in the house. Seems counterintuitive to yell when she is screaming but she can’t hear you otherwise. But he had the Ironman mask on while he was yelling at her. And she couldn’t stop laughing. I told her it was disrespectful to laugh when your father is correcting you. Even if he is wearing an Ironman mask. This is what you call effective parenting.
I thought it would be funny to get a picture of the three of them in their masks but you can kind of see Sawyer’s head cocked to the side because he is figuring out if he is still mad about the Popsicle stick debacle.
I needed a bigger makeup case for my purse. I have lots of goodies I carry around. It takes a lot of makeup to look this natural. All of the cases I have stuffed under my bathroom sink were just not making the cut. Some are just plain ugly, or too small, or too heavy on thier own, without all my junk in it. I had made some valances for Syd’s room using some zebra print sheets. I had a pillow case left over from this sheet set so I went at it and made a makeup case. It is roomy, lightweight, and washable! And so simple as I only had to do two seams. I was to lazy to make a button hole so sewed buttons on and just used some satin ribbon for the closure.
